POST SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION

Algonquin Forestry Authority’s Forest Industry Bursary is designed to assist  students from local communities served by the forest industry of Algonquin Provincial Park who wish to pursue post secondary education in the area of either forestry or the natural sciences fields. This award is annually sponsored by the forest industry of Algonquin Park. Criteria for Selection of Candidates:

• The student has been accepted to a college or university level education in the forestry/forest technician or natural sciences fields only.
• Best candidates will have contributed to their community in a volunteer or participatory capacity.
• Special consideration will be given to students from families working in Algonquin Park’s forest industry.
• The student will submit a complete Application as well as a transcript signed by a guidance Counselor.

NOTE:  Students enrolled in forestry-related programs may be eligible for a further bursary upon entering their second year.  Applications can be sent by letter with proof of successful completion of year 1. Download English Application  2. Download French Application
