Contractor Safety Award Recipient
The 2017 AFA Contractor Safety Award was once again presented to W. F. Dombroski Logging of Barry’s Bay during the annual Contractors’ Meeting held in Barry’s Bay on May 4th.
This award is presented annually to the Algonquin Park logging contractor who maintains the best overall safety record for the year. Dombroski’e employees worked a total of 6,435 person days with no lost time or medical aids reported for the 2016/17 season.

AFA employee retires!
After 34 years with Algonquin Forestry Authority, Bill Hubbert has retired from his position as Area Manager. He celebrated this occasion on Saturday, September 24th at a celebration in his honour at the East Beach Picnic Pavilion in Algonquin Park with over 70 in attendance.
W. F. Dombroski Logging of Barry’s Bay has received the 2016 AFA Contractor Safety Award.
This award is presented annually to the Algonquin Park logging contractor maintaining the best overall safety record. Dombroski’s employees worked 6,549 person days with no lost time or medical aids for the 2015/16 season.
Accepting the award from Steve Bursey, AFA’s Manager of Operations is Joe Dombroski.
